Advantages/Strengths

For many traders, a software that will enable them to monitor their many investments all in one time will most certainly be welcome news. This is a basic requirement that TradeTrakker can competently address. It has the ability to identify and analyze various stock portfolios, aside
from monitoring other stocks from as many as 50 various areas such as selling, buying, losses, and gains.

With TradeTrakker, investors can arrange their investment stocks into particular divisions for easier and quicker access. They can then compare these with any number of areas to determine if these are gaining or losing value in the market. An automatic market index update option is
likewise available and investors can select either a daily or a per-minute update on as many as 100 prime market indices.

For complex data that need to be simplified, TradeTrakker has a wizard tool specifically meant to address such a need. You can also configure with the stock or market index of your choice as the software has a ticker-display option programmed for such a purpose.

And of course, investors can always get the hottest stock news, patterns, and charts from TradeTrakker that they can readily connect to their personal trading accounts for faster comparison. For a more concrete record profile, investors can also opt to either print their portfolios directly from the software's primary window or obtain these in Microsoft Excel format.

Disadvantages/Weaknesses

TradeTrakker is truly and without a doubt, a one-of-a-kind and unique financial managing software. It has so many wonderful features that investors will find absolutely useful in the effective management of their investments.

Yet, these numerous features can also be considered as the software's disadvantages or weaknesses. Many new investors who are just starting out in the online stock market business may find TradeTrakker a bit intimidating with the many options available for use. New traders may feel more at ease with programming softwares that relatively have fewer features but are still able to do the job quite efficiently.

For current users of TradeTrakker, one disadvantage appears to be in the index list update. While the software provides registered users with free upgrades, TradeTrakker version 2.5 advises users to replace old and obsolete indices with new ones by checking the dialog box for index configuration. This obviously means the upgrade may have to be done manually by the user and that no automatic update will occur, at least, in this particular area.

Nevertheless, this is just one weak link. It is expected that future versions of TradeTrakker will be able to address this problem and finally make the software the perfect financial software manager.

Price

TradeTrakker is currently being offered at a very inexpensive price of $34.95. This is accompanied by a one-month trial period wherein buyers who are unsatisfied with the software either as a whole or with one or two of its features are guaranteed to get their money back, no questions asked.

However, for those greatly convinced of the software's functions, TradeTrakker can be purchased online. Buyers will be given serial codes to register the software so they can use it on an unlimited basis.

As for current users of TradeTrakker, version 2.5 of the software is now available online. After downloading, they can install it over their old version. The computer will readily recognize the new entry and register it as a new installation.

Software Size

The average software size of the TradeTrakker is about 1,292 kilobytes. This may be considered an average size for the typical software program, but when you consider the many features that TradeTrakker contains, then you know that its size is relatively proportional to the programs
that it can carry out at any given time. In the case of this particular software, one can definitely say that size does matter.

Of course, pocket size calculators that feature a wide range of programs including stock market options may be available. However, these tend to be limited in scope and cannot compare to the many uses of the TradeTrakker. Size need not be a big deal with this software when viewed in terms of the many benefits that it can offer the average stock trader.

Operating System Required/Compatibility

The operating system compatible with the TradeTrakker software are Windows-based computer systems. More specifically, the latter versions of Microsoft Windows such as Win95, Win98, Windows 2000, WinME, WinNT 4.x, and WinXP will function quite well with the TradeTrakker.

This basic compatibility of the TradeTrakker with Microsoft Windows is an added advantage for the software since it almost certainly assures a ready clientele. Windows-based programs are recognized and used all around the world both by big-time and small-time investors. By connecting
with this particular operating system, TradeTrakker assures itself of a ready market, even as its outstanding features are enough to make it a sure best-seller in the software arena.

Also, since downloading financial data from the software can be done at Microsoft Excel, it is but natural that TradeTrakker be compatible with the Windows-based operating systems. If not, then the software's extra feature of being able to export data at MS Excel will just be plain
advertisement.

With TradeTrakker being able to work quite efficiently with Windows-based computer programs, first-time investors and veteran traders need not worry that they may have a difficult time adjusting to the software in case they purchase a copy and eventually install it into their PC's. All they really need to think about is familiarizing themselves with the software's numerous features and they can go on watching the flow of their investments.

License

For first-time buyers interested in trying out TradeTrakker, the product can be downloaded directly from the product website and installed absolutely free. They can use it for 30 days free, after which if they want to avail more of TradeTrakker's features, then they have to buy the
software license to be able to enjoy its benefits for an unlimited period. As an added feature, those who opt to avail of the one-month free-trial period are reminded of the option to purchase a TradeTrakker license. Such a reminder will be given approximately five days before the free-test period ends.

The advantage of having a TradeTrakker license basically involves having the authority to enjoy the software's features for unlimited period. Aside from that, having a TradeTrakker license qualifies the users to receive free updates of the software's future versions, at the
same time helping out in the future improvements of the software.
